Q&A
1. What happened to the Feral Cat Coalition?
We changed our name to more accurately reflect our mission.
2. Are you just another rescue group?
The Coalition is a collaboration of rescue groups, the community, wildlife organizations, and government working together to meet the same goal-the reduction of stray, free roaming, abandoned, and feral cats through sterilization, trap/neuter/return, and maintenance programs.
3. What is TNR?
TNR Is a full management plan in which stray, free roaming, abandoned and feral cats already living outdoors are humanely trapped, evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers. It is important to note that variations of TNR exist. The one element that does not vary is sterilization to break the cycle of reproduction (as described by Alley Cat Allies).
